Embroidery Files — How to Prepare Your Design
To turn your design into embroidery, it needs to meet a few technical requirements. We’ve outlined them below.
Design Size
Maximum embroidery area: 3.1 x 2 in (8 x 5 cm)Line Thickness

Frequently asked questions about our embroidery service:
To create an embroidery-ready file, we manually recreate your vector design in specialized embroidery software. This allows our embroidery machines to process your artwork correctly.
This one-time service costs $19.99 per file.
Our embroidery machines require a special embroidery file that defines all stitch paths and thread colors needed to reproduce your design.
To convert your artwork into an embroidery file, your design must meet the following requirements:
Your artwork must be submitted as a vector file (max. 10 MB, *.eps, *.svg, *.ai)
Designs may use a maximum of 4 colors from our thread color palette
Line thickness must be at least 2 mm (5.66 pt)
Maximum embroidery size is 3.1 x 2 in (8 x 5 cm)
As with all vector graphics:
no gradients
no backgrounds
no patterns
all objects must use closed paths
You can use up to 4 thread colors from our embroidery palette:

Creating your embroidery file usually takes 3–5 business days.
We then spend an additional 3–7 business days testing the file across different materials and optimizing it if needed.
Once complete, the embroidery design will appear in your Partner Area and can be used on eligible products.
Our embroidery service includes the same fair satisfaction guarantee as our products.
Once the file is complete, you’ll see a preview in your Partner Area. If you’re unhappy with the result, contact Customer Support — small adjustments may still be possible.
Very thin materials cannot be embroidered.
